ANTI-FALL

Domes and skylights have mechanical resistance that varies according to the materials used.
For example, a skylight made of 16 mm cellular polycarbonate is highly impact-resistant and has a high load-bearing capacity. However, civil liability requirements call for additional protective measures, especially where opening parts are present. To meet these requirements, safety nets or grilles are used.

Anti-fall safety nets are made of galvanized steel mesh with intertwined wires ranging from 2 to 8 mm in diameter. They act as a protective barrier against the fall of a body and are usually anchored at the base of the skylight, beneath the support base.

ANTI-INTRUSION

Manufactured with a frame and counterframe in natural extruded aluminum, made with tubular-profile sections and equipped with a drip edge to prevent water infiltration.
Reinforced with rail-type ribs for the installation of opening accessories and joined with special contoured segmented corner brackets designed to absorb possible thermal expansion.

Extruded natural aluminum brackets are provided to accommodate the handle for closing and release during opening, with 90° tilting assisted by gas springs.

POLIFORM SISTEM "INTEGRATE"

The need to integrate anti-fall safety nets into opening systems such as smoke exhaust ventilators led Poliform Lucernari to develop the “Poliform Integrate” system.
This solution consists of galvanized steel safety nets factory-installed inside the frames.

The system eliminates the need to cut the net to accommodate the exhaust ventilators and is extremely quick to install, also allowing the nets to be fitted after waterproofing works have been completed.

The system is certified by a testing and research institute for resistance to a force of 1200 J (Joules).
