POLYCARBONATE
PCA: cellular polycarbonate
Cellular polycarbonate is a material with high mechanical strength and impact resistance.
It is used exclusively in the “X” section, which ensures that the thickness used remains unchanged during the thermoforming process.
The insulating properties of the multi-wall structure provide excellent thermal insulation, contributing to a high performance U-value (thermal transmittance) of domes and skylights.
Thanks to the specific configuration of the cells, products achieve a high snow load capacity. The material is fire-retardant and does not propagate flame.
Standard colors: opal (milky white), transparent
Colors on request: brown / smoked grey

PCC: Solid Polycarbonate
Solid polycarbonate is typically used in thicknesses of 2 / 3 / 4 mm.
Its main characteristic is high impact resistance. Due to its low insulating performance, multiple layers (or shells) are required. To achieve highly efficient U-values, it must be combined with flat cellular polycarbonate sheets.
The material is fire-retardant and does not propagate flame.

PMMA: Polymethyl methacrylate
Extruded methacrylate offers excellent optical properties and high light transmission. It is generally used in its classic form in 3 / 4 mm thicknesses. Being highly fragile under impact (e.g. hail), it can be additivated with elastomers to improve surface resistance.
It is highly flammable, and its thermal resistance values require the use of multiple shells or combinations with cellular polycarbonate.
